What is "domain
forwarding"?
Domain forwarding (or "redirecting")
forwards or redirects your domain to another
site. For instance, if you own the domain "janedoe.com"
but don't have an actual website for any
number of reasons, you can forward that
domain to any number of sites including
social media pages or free web site
builders. You can forward to pretty much any
site or site page that you want.
For instance, just click the link
www.keithboglephoto.com
(I no longer
own this domain so forwarding does not work
at this time).
That was an actual web site for years until
I lost web publishing capabilities a couple
of years ago (obviously I've regained them),
but currently it simply forwards to the main
site entrance here.
Who can benefit from domain forwarding?
Domain forwarding is great for anyone who
wants the ability to possess a "my name dot
com" web address without the hassle or
expense of having a custom web site. It's
great to be able to put a "your name dot
com" address on business cards, e-mail
footers, etc., and have your domain
forwarded to a social media page or whatever
page you want.
If you'd like your own "my name dot com" or
"my team dot com" address forwarded to a
site of your choice, I'd be happy to set
that up for you. (Don't forget the "dot org"
and other "dot ___" options.)
